KSh400 Million To Renovate Schools Damaged By Floods In Kisumu

Kisumu Governor Peter Nyongo flags off aid to Kabonyo Kanyagwal towards Covid-19 containment.

KISUMU, Kenya, January 13, 2021 – The County government of Kisumu will spend an estimated KSh400 million to renovates schools damaged by floods.

Governor Professor Peter Anyang Nyongo on Wednesday said that over 90 schools in the region have been damaged by floods.

He made the disclosure outside City Hall in Kisumu when he flagged off assorted items to Kabonyo Kanyagwal location towards Covid-19 control.

The governor who was flanked by education executive John Awiti said that more donations will be given out to other areas, which have been affected. Nyongo urged local residents to continue observing Covid-19 containment measures.
