NAIROBI, Kenya, May 21, 2020 – Police have finally apprehended a man who sexually assaulted his wife after accusing her of infidelity and sealed his genitalia with superglue.
James Kifo Muriuki, 30, who on May 16, 2020 horridly dehumanised his wife, was on Thursday arrested from his hideout at Kaningo in Kitui County by a combined team of DCI detectives from Special Crime Unit, DCI Tseikuru and DCI Tharaka South.
According to a post by DCI on social media, the arrest followed a shocking report made by the complainant, his wife, on how the suspect lured her in the dead of the night to river Kathita where he ordered her to strip naked and ‘confess’ all the men she had slept with while he was in Nairobi.
According to the sleuths, on being hesitant, she was beaten by the suspect who also sprayed pepper, salt and super glue on her genitalia and later used a knife to push the said contents to her lady parts.
Further, it was reported that he sealed her mouth and ears and left her for dead. The suspect will be charged accordingly once necessary police procedure is complete.
The police in Tharaka South Sub-County in Kenya said the suspect first persuaded his wife to move from their Marimanti township home, fearing that he would be arrested after having travelled from Nairobi where there is a lockdown.
On reaching Kathita River, the man who threatened to kill his wife ordered her to undress. It was gathered that when she turned down his request, the man descended on her with blows while threatening to stab her with the knife he was holding.
After the bizzare incident, the woman managed to walk to Marimanti Police Station where she reported the matter before she was rushed to Marimanti Sub-County Hospital where she is receiving treatment.
According to police, the suspect is a known criminal in the region who is being sought by the police for various crimes.
